Hello,
Here is my other 1972. Does it look like a true DD or MD?

Thank you.

Not seeing it, coop provided a comprehensive info regarding 72 DDO's on your last topic that you can refer to and compare.

On this one it is Machine Doubling on a master die doubling coin. 50% of the cents that year were from a doubled master die. While it is die doubling, it is passed down from the master die and with so many affected, they are very common to find.

The Master hub 2 created master dies. Because one was showing MDD, then it passed down the line, A large number of Working dies with the MDD issue, that passed this down to the Working dies. So 50% from a three mints had this issue that you are seeing on your coin. What is that I see?

Note the affected areas are seen on your coin, along with Machine Doubling. As mentioned, these are not a premium for these. Knowing them is important as you can move on to the next coin when you see this.

That is interesting! Thanks Coop!!
I am grateful for the confirmation.
-As I mentioned earlier Chase007 I will still ask to be sure because I still find it tough to distinguish between them.
Cheers
