another coin that I bought off ebay thats was sold as NEAR+GEM BU I sent these to NGC will post the slabs when I get them back

ok I took these pictures before I sent them off to NGC. Its been a while since I bought much coins especially off ebay. My old habit is back tho I started a type set a few months ago and branched off into buying a bunch of coins I didnt really need lol

thanks Pmint1 yeah lots of bag marks on these coins I bought 8 from this seller but only 3 where Morgan dollars. They looked so frosty but not so much in hand. I still think they are pretty good coins tho for what I paid :)

MS-61. Ouch, this looks like it was purchased from Canyon City Coin. That is a seller to avoid, as they doctor photos and have their items bid up to the moon and back.

Hopefully you can take this as a learning experience and develop the ability to grade for yourself instead of relying on a dealer's representations. We are all doing that here and we welcome you to join us - it is an endless but satisfying process. Dealers put food on the table by getting the most value out of their inventory. It's always good to keep that in front of mind.

i dont care for the breast on this one. it appears to be chewed up a little. the strike is a little weak for this year and the lighting is washing out the surfaces so assessing the surface preservation is out the door. my guess is that it may have been over dipped. the luster appears to be broken across the cheek and with the chatter in that area as well as the neck. I could go as high as MS63 but without better photos that would be stretch.

Please, please take numismatic student advice and post any coins you are interested in here before laying out the $$ and stay away from this seller. they are misrepresenting the coins they are listing

for the coins I've seen so far you posted, this is not an accurate statement. its one thing to over pay for a coin because you like it, its another to buy it thinking its something that its not.
