Looks normal size to me. Can you post a side-by-side small MM/large MM?

I looked on the internet. It is a normal sized mintmark. It looked awful small to me, but I guess they were all that way that year.

the mint mark does not appear to be raised above the surface as much as the year, which can happen if the mint mark was not punched hard into the die, or if subsequent die polishing wore down the surface around the mark

I'll have to agree with the statements up above. A weak punch with the MM punch or over polishing the field can reduce the size of the devices.
