nothing a little Tarn-X can't fix (I'm joking!)
I find it difficult to grade silver toned like this, it feels like all sorts of hits and dings could be disguised by the toning. Since I don't see any big hits, and only minor dings, this could go MS-67, but the toning might be hiding the sins.

Toning is hiding Something. Left wing there is a die crack and over that is a hit from another coins rim with three little dings. Otherwise I'd be running to send this off! Also a very minor cheek hit close to the nose running east/west but that's all I can see in the loop. Who knows what else is hiding.

It's close I would say between 66 and 67. I will take the conservative route and say 66+ Love the coin.

If the obverse looked like the reverse, then I could imagine almost any grade given the eye appeal. But I can't imagine someone paying 67 money for this one.

Quote: I will take the conservative route and say 66+ Love the coin. I think this is a good suggestion! Probably not worth the money but who knows. Expected return value is only $50-$150 but at least the coin would be stabilized. I dipped in acetone but it probably needs more help to not degrade further. Suggestions? Any suggestions? If I were to send it to PCGS for restoration is there someone here who could send it for me? I don't have a membership. Thanx! Kurt

66
Rinse with acetone and put it into an airtite.

Is silver. Just boil in boric acid and rinse. no damage to the coin at all and will not affect the value. They are others methods but must be perform right and with correct manipulation. Cleaning Silver over 800 and gold over 825 is easy and do not affect the coin. In silver the acetone if is not pure will be disastrously.

So, are you going to submit this coin? I'll take side bets.

No, found a couple more hits on the chin. MS65 at best. Unattractive eye appeal on the obverse to most. Evidence is adding up that make it not worth the money. Cool coin! It was fun while it lasted! Had to put my CCF eyes to it and get honest with myself.
