2017 D Jefferson Nickel Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

Nice separation, personally don't see MD at all, only other possibility is maybe Die Deterioration, seems too high a grade for that I would think, but honestly have no idea if that even matters for Die Deterioration to be a factor. On the DDO for that year, they are confined to the nose area, not where you are looking. On those areas Machine Doubling and DDD are seen on those areas. Here is a listing of what you will see as DDR and DDO's for the single squeeze dies. https://www2.briansvarietycoins.com...tings/cat/56 This will help you find the true DDO / DDR's for these years. Thank you Coop, have that and a couple others bookmarked now. Just throws me off that the doubling I see is not the flat shelf type associated with MD, and condition wise it seems unlikely to be DDD, but that is only my opinion. I'll take a look at more 2017 tonight. @John, lighting is just by battery powered LED, camera is just my phone which is a few years old LG model, and only 4x zoom. Lol I was actually on there reading through them when I came across this 2017 D, but the only ones on there are 2017-P WDDR-001-010. No 2017-D at all, and no 2017 DDO at all. I know it is a long shot when there are none listed but I make myself check every coin. But now that I have Eye Deterioration Doubling of my own, I trust posting here better than what I think I thought I saw lol Thanks again for looking! Report this Post to the Staff
