My scale is correct. I've calibrated it three times. Weighed some different clad, copper and silver coins, they are all weighing correctly. I wish I could upload a short video on here of me weighing out the coin. The Cent should only weigh 2.5g with the Denver mint mark, correct?

No, the 1982D Large Date also came in copper.
It is the 1982D Small Date that was not supposed to be made from copper
but some did accidentally get minted. That is what makes them valuable.

As JimmyD stated, yours is the 1982 large date. Perfectly normal, worth 1 cent, the '82 small date is the one worth a small fortune. Keep searching!
