It is a Tomlov Digital LCD Microscope Model: DM201
It comes with an SD card for saving images AND I can connect directly to my PC and save the images directly to my PC Hard drive.

The closeup does indeed look good. It has sufficiently shallow depth of field indicating that the lens is of good quality, and would benefit from focus stacking. I don't know of another USB scope that has such characteristics.

How is the control software? Can you adjust various parameters such as white balance, contrast, saturation, sharpness, exposure, etc? Can you provide a screenshot of the control panel?

How far away is the scope when doing the closeup? How about when shooting the Dollar?

I plan to look this one up. Hope you can work out the issue with the lighting on the Dollar. Contrast on that one is pretty bad as well, but good on the closeup, so there must be something going on there.

Couple more questions...what is the original image size right out of the camera? The closeup one you posted is 1200x675, but I think that's probably downsized, right? What was it before you downsized it?

For shooting the dollar, the lens is 8 inches above coin
For shooting the dime, it was at 1 inch above coin.

Here are the on screen controls - (so far the mic needs to be disconnected from computer to get to set up displays. - still learning that part).
here are the menu control pictures: (as you will see, I have not yet set up the date time yet...)

The original image size of the cent was 656K before I sized it down.

Also when using just the mic monitor, I can zoom in up to 16x. Not sure if I can get that image directly on my computer monitors yet. I think I can save it to the SD card and move it over but haven't tried that yet.

Forgot to mention, when up real close, I can change the focus to concentrate to the top of the devices or to the field, depending on what I need to see better. Or I can optimize the focus for both.

Thanks for the answers to my questions. The software looks better than 99% of the scopes I've reviewed. It actually has a white balance option! Looks very good.

I see you got the version that has the added height extender. I see 3 versions of this scope available (there may be more):

6" column, where the whole column has the rack for focusing
6" column with extender. Only the top 6" are focusable
10" column with rack the whole length

It looks like you are not limited in going to high magnification while the extender is in place, correct? So you can keep the extender in place at all times?

I was hoping for the pixel dimensions. You can make a big image have a small file size by increasing the compression. But what is the actual pixel dimension in X and Y?

The camera appears to have a "4M" and "16M" mode. It appears you are using the 16M mode. I would expect to see a 16MP image coming out in that mode but want to check. It is more likely that the camera itself is a 4MP, and it upconverts to 16MP when in the 16M mode, but I can't find the specs to say what the native sensor size is.

This is what I was saying about depth of field. The lens quality looks very decent. You could focus on the top of the features, middle, and field, and then do a focus stack to have everything in focus. I don't know of another USB scope that can do this well.

Looks nice! A while back I was considering the same scope, and I think you've sold me on it...
