Ciao! So coin roll hunting is something I do only on occasion; unsurprisingly, Covid made the frequent acquisition of bulk coin a cumbersome task. With that said, however, every few months I yearn for a box and succumb to temptation.

Since 2020 I've conducted 6 hunts and kept record of my finds. Here's the tally thus far:

Hunts:
1. 2/10/20
2. 3/4/20
3. 3/30/21
4. 6/1/21
5. 9/20/21
6. 3/14/22

Finds:
- All Wheats: 19
- 50s: 12
- 40s: 4
- 30s: 2
- 20s:
- 10s: 1
- IHC:
- 68-74 S: 23
- Canadian: 37
- Foreign: 1
- Proof:
- Dimes: 16

Wheat cent Average: 3.17 per box
Cents Searched Overall: 15,000

(Yes I don't hunt 2009s, they're all too abundant for me, sorry )

I also don't necessarily keep all my finds, some like the dimes and S minted memorials I keep track of just for the novelty factor.

From here on out, every subsequent hunt will have it's own dedicated post and statistics will be updated to reflect new totals. How often I'll try to do this is uncertain as again, coin roll hunting occurs very infrequently for me, but I've considered testing the waters with some new bank branches.

Also, expect pictures soon.

Penny Hunt #7

I'm back! Finally got around to another hunt, and it was a doozy! Pretty odd box however, only two wheat cents, but what it lacked in wheaties it made up for in BU coppers. I must've stumbled upon a collection dump, or at least a copper hoard, because I found around 100 copper blazers, whereas I usually score 5 or 6 in an average hunt. Made the search much more exciting! In addition, I scored a few nice varieties, some 1969-D No FGs and even a Wide AM 1998, albeit somewhat zinc spotted. Overall a solid hunt!

Hunts:
1. 2/10/20
2. 3/4/20
3. 3/30/21
4. 6/1/21
5. 9/20/21
6. 3/14/22
7. 6/28/22

Cumulative Finds:
- All Wheats: 21
- 50s: 12
- 40s: 6
- 30s: 2
- 20s:
- 10s: 1
- IHC:
- 68-74 S: 31
- Canadian: 37
- Foreign: 1
- Proof:
- Dimes: 16

Wheat cent Average: 3 per box
Cents Searched Overall: 17,500

Roughly a 50/50 split on the zinc and copper, wish every box was like that!
