Your dime is worth 10 cents Canadian or 7.5 cents US

I'm not quite sure what your question is, or what connection this Canadian dime has to New Zealand.
If you're referring to the portrait: this is the Arnold Machin portrait of Elizabeth II. It was used throughout the British Commonwealth from the 1960s up to the 1980s (the exact years of transition varied from country to country - Canada used it from 1965 up to 1989). You will find this exact same portrait on coins of Australia, the Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, Fiji, Great Britain, Hong Kong, New Zealand and many other countries.
This was the last "Commonwealth-wide" portrait of Elizabeth II. In 1990, Canada began to use its own distinctively "Canadian" portrait of Elizabeth II; since then, several other nations have followed suit with locally-designed portraits. I suspect that when Charles becomes king, each Commonwealth Realm will commission their own portraits using local artists.

I forgot to mention that this coin is the size of a dime..and sold for over 8,000.00 at the heritage auction. So now I'm confused as to why mine wouldn't be worth that amount. I know the mintage has a lot to do with the price but even half that would be reasonable? uploaded/Dquiroz68/20220322_

Look closely, the expensive one says New Zealand, while yours does not.
Your photos show a worn regular canadian dime

I saw one at the ONA in Kingston in 2019. I think 5 or less are known to exist.
