Will please grade my coin.I hope that eventually I can find one that's actually worth anything. The obverse of the coin is the color of the coin. I had a hard time trying to reduce the image. Also how would I word this?

I know others can chime in here, but on the Sheldon grading scale, it seems to be a F-12ish in appearance. Your title seems alright to me. I can also say these large British coins circulated often back in the day, so finding high grade coins can be a chore. This 1921 is probably worth a few dollars on average, but I know there are better dates and key dates worth far more out there in circulated condition such as yours.

with the grade. In the UK the obverse would merit only VG whereas the reverse is a clear F. The reverse is slightly better than most average-circulated 1921 pennies - you sometimes find them with 'ONE PENNY' on the reverse merging into the fields, and the lines on the shield worn away. But it's a very common date that could easily be found in circulation up to Decimalization in 1971. In the UK most dealers would toss this coin into their 10p or 25p 'junk box'.

The scarcer early George V pennies are 1918 and 1919 with H or KN mintmarks to the left of the date, and 1926 with the Modified Effigy on the obverse. There is also a very rare variety of the 1922 penny with the modified reverse (lower relief and slightly smaller figure of Britannia) that was used on all the later George V pennies from 1927 to 1936.

Although not evident on this specimen, pennies of 1911-26 frequently suffered from 'ghosting', owing to the high relief of the large obverse portrait of George V. On a 'ghost penny', the King's silhouette can be seen in reverse in the fields either side of Britannia. The ghosting problem was finally resolved in 1928 when a smaller portrait of the King was adopted.

To me VG would be tops even on the Sheldon scale. I also wonder about possible environmental damage on the date side.
