Does anyone have a good experience with Lighthouse Grande Binders (or any other Lighthouse Binders)? I am looking to start a binder to store and display my coins in cardboard 2x2s.
Are Lighthouse Binders archival quality and PVC free? Are they worth the price? Or would a PVC-free binder from an office supply store provide the same level of protection?
Finally, does anyone know if Lighthouse Grande Binders will fit BCW Polypropylene 2x2 Pages?
@hdb, first welcome to CCF. Second, it looks like there are multiple previous threads talking about these—perhaps looking through them will help with your questions and augment whatever responses you get in this thread. You can use the keywords LIGHTHOUSE BINDERS in the search box in the upper left corner of your screen to find them. One that looked potentially helpful is linked below, but there were several.
I use the Lighthouse Grande albums for paper money and like them overall, but I find the rings do not always close tightly, which allows pages to occasionally pop out partially.
I've been using lighthouse pages and binders for coins and paper money, for more than 15 years without any problem. Having said that, I also have to say I find Importa brand slightly better in quality (I.e thickness of 2x2 mylar windows, etc)
