Thanks folks! SaturnD51, yeah, since much of what I do here is show coins with real doubled dies, RPMs or errors as learning examples, I have to have reasonable images to show them. But the whole coin pics are super easy if you spend $50 on
ebay for a used Canon S95 point and shoot. Takes really nice full-coin macros although to get things right you are still looking at some good bit of cropping. I use an expensive scope for the close-ups, so not a good one to offer advice on a killer starter set for those, but folks have had excellent success with USB scopes as well as those little clip on lenses for your phone. Neither are expensive.
Cookie, I think this is one RPM I can say I have enough of! I probably find five or six a year and maybe sell off one or two. I'm going to toss this one up on
ebay just to not add yet another one to my files.
