Hello,

Found this Quarter with a mint mark issue - I think it is a D punched over a D.

Then I also noticed the R and the T have something going on, not sure about.

I am new to identifying errors. Any insights appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like the D took a hit from the left and moved the metal. The R and T is another contact mark.

@coin, your pic isn't quite detailed enough for me to have any confidence in damage vs. RPM. Here is a link to the relevant varietyvista page so that you can do some research on your own.

Cujohn - I think what you are saying looks accurate when I look through my looper. It does look like mint mark pushed right. And the letters probably do look like post mint damage because the letters appear to push out where the mark goes through them.
