Hey!

So all 1982 coins are going to be 40 this year. I am also, so ive been going through 1982 coins for fun.

This is one my gram had not packaged but with some other old coins. it appears to be a DDO to me but the interesting thing is the back. It looks like a copper colored stain, but there's also an indentation. Id love some feedback!

Does not look like a DDO to me,it looks like circulation flattening. The stain on the reverse looks like a stain to me.

@john1 Oh man that stinks, you don't see DDO in "god" "trust" and the 2?

I wondered about the back, but it seemed oddly indented around the stain so I figured i'd see what you guys thought.

Thank you!

I see what you are talking about on obverse... mostly on the "O" and "D" movement to the north east. could that be die wear?

Just extreme die wear. Pretty much common that year:

The odd indent on the reverse could be the edge of the glue.

It is a normal 25 cent 1982. I do not see DD. The pic so close give the impression. The only one I saw with DD this year has small DD in Q.

The color is a normal toning for those coins. Start with yellowish color and accentuate during the time. This toning on clad nickel id dull coloring and take out the brightness of the coin. Need an revitalizing to come back to original state.
