Picked this one up off ebay, thought it was interesting. Somebody obviously noticed and pulled it out of circulation a long time ago.

1910-Lincoln--

Not used to seeing a single letter gone almost without a trace

Edit to fix picture. Doh!

Yup, a filled die...

and I should add that the coin is harshly cleaned and corroded. With pitting damage and low VF details, the coin is worth at most $3. I hope you didn't pay much more than this for it.

I did notice the cleaning, which is quite unpleasant. Where is the corrosion, the pits on either side of Abe, or the uneven coloring?

I got it for $3.50 in a small batch along with a wheat that lost the second half of the date to a lamination flaw (probably 15% of the obverse gone), a very thin 1946-D that weighs in at 2.3g, a G4 1892 IHC, and a couple unremarkable wheats. Can't complain.

Heck, if I could find other 1910s in similar condition @ $3/ea, missing different letters, that would be an awesome set! 7 coins with only 6 LIBERTYs between them :)

Correct - the dark spots and the pits are corrosion. For the better part, the dark spots have ruined the surface of the coin and cannot be safely removed. They generally come from improper storage of the coin over the years.

Is it just me or does the 0 in 1910 seem unusually large?

I might guess it's a few well-placed knocks that pushed out the metal on the digit.
