I came across this Morgan and I am wondering if this reverse is possible. I read that all CC 1878 Morgans have the type 2 reverse with a parallel top arrow feather. This looks to be a reverse of the 1879 with the slanted top arrow feather. I do not know much about these so any help is appreciated. This is not mine, I just saw it and started researching it trying to learn about them as I do have a few, just not CC.

I dont think there are any 1878 cc morgans with the reverse of 1879 so I would say it is counterfeit

Yep that is either the wrong reverse photo or more likely a counterfeit coin. All 1878-CC Morgan dollars are Type B1 with a long center arrow shaft.
