No pictures to show just a general question. How does a die crack impact the final grading of a coin? Does it have an impact?

In my opinion, no.

I would also suggest no. Some prefer coins without die cracks. Some like me generally like them. As far as grading, the answer is no.

Well that's good to know. Thank you. I have an otherwise beautiful Bicentennial Quarter D mintmark, that I was considering but it has a die crack. Knowing how difficult it is to find a nice one, I thought it might have a shot at a great grade.

I would suggest posting large, sharply-focused images of the obverse and reverse of your coin before you send it to a grading service (if that's what you are considering). Folks here can help you determine if incurring the costs of third-party grading make sense for the coin.

Good luck!

The grading forum which best fits the coin. If you are not sure, no worry, we can move it if incorrectly placed.
