Hello,
I have been trying my best to not post every "possible" asking for everyone's opinion but this one I couldn't resist. The lettering and date on the obverse of this coin seem extremely fat IMO. Could this be a doubled die? Thank you in advance for your help and input!

Circulation flattening, not a DDO. It is copper so it shouldn't stick to a magnet. Only 1943 should. 3.1 grams +/- .12 is normal. Check here for doubled dies so you get used to seeing what they look like:http://doubleddie.com/ http://varietyvista.com/ http://www.coppercoins.com/advsearch.php

Not seeing a DD, better pics would help. Probably just an overweight planchet to begin with.

You should check the calibration of your scale just to be sure.

John1 The reason I said it wouldn't stick to magnet is because I was eliminating that it could be a plated penny from the kids science project from back in the day.

Sometimes on scales it will be called 'Tare.' When you turn on the scale, punch that button to zero the setup each time before using the scale.

Normally spelled "tare". And yes, verify the weight vs. other cents.

One letter miss taping do not matter BH1964, we talk about the coin.

I am curios about the diameter and the thickness. (Hope I tap well the words)
