The convention, as established on the CU forum back in 2003 and modified slightly for the more international membership we have here at CCF:
liteside = coins from your own country. Note the spelling "lite" rather than "light", to distance the terminology from Star Wars.

greyside = coins from nearby countries, that you're likely to find in change. They're not "lite", but they're not completely "dark", either - so they're grey. It's why the Canadian subforum is labelled the "grey area" on the forum home page: because to Americans, Canada is "greyside".
darkside = coins from faraway, exotic lands.
farside = tokens, medals and other exonumia.
