Then the 223rd coin of the day was the one I was looking for:

If you look hard you might just see a lamination crack stretching from the queen's nose to the L.

Day 231

This weekend I had $1000 to noodle with so instead of getting just a measly 500 two dollar coins I decided to get ten $100 bags of 10 cent coins and have a look for a 2022 ten cent coin. (No I didn't get them all from the same bank)

Yes that's 10,000 coins but after all this is the Big Noodle.

No 2022 coins but plenty of 2021s. According to the RAM the mintage figure for the 2021 which was previously just 1.25 million is now over 22 million. (Yet the sellers on ebay are still claiming it's a "very low mintage coin")

I did manage to find four 1985 coins (which I thought was a good effort) but only a single 2011 (still Australia's lowest mintage circulating 10 cent coin).

I got a bit excited when I saw the old Elizabeth II obverse on this coin but it turned out to be a 2012 Belize 25 cent coin:

Some key date noodling stats (10,000 coins noodled):
