If it were a strike through, I would think it would be depressed or incuse. Could it be extra material (copper) from another coin or a fold over. Looking closely you can see 'damage' to the rim just right to the anomaly on the field and stalk. Collecting since 1972. Learning from then on "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Petespockets55 Pillar of the Community United States 5770 Posts	Posted 04/12/2022 10:03 am IMHO, it looks like the shape is an inverse match (mirror image) for and wrapped around the area at the rim. Can you provide an image of the edge of the coin? If was wrapped around the rim, it might be a folded over but still attached lamination. Words of encouragement are one of the major food groups.
