@cus, well cents in 1958 weren't plated, but I agree that the surface toning seems oriented along a single direction.

Definitely not plating bubbles. Do these lines seem raised above the surface?

By your photos seem to be a plated coin. what is in reality the color? 1958d was bronze alloy coins, not plated coins.
