I am not a money collector but have this misprinted dollar bill. The interesting parts of this bill are the edges. Two sides look hand torn (you can see part of another bill) and the bottom is not cut correctly. Is there any value in this bill? I would be willing to sell it.

I'm no bill expert but I don't believe this is an error, the bills can be purchased in uncut sheets so someone could easily just buy a sheet and cut or year it however they wish.

Looks like it has been torn from an uncut sheet for some reason.
The bottom is hard to say if it was cut intentionally or at the printers.
I can't really see much value in it.

The BEP returned to offering sheets directly to collectors when they introduced the 1976 $2 bill. They started offering $1 sheets with series 1981. The H-D block sheets can be identified by serial numbers above H99840001D. The OP's note was crudely extracted from one of those sheets.

This is my 1981 $1 H-D sheet.

I assume these sheets came in different sizes and not just single rows of bills? The OPs bill looks like it was taken from a sheet at least 2 rows wide.

Yes. You could order a 4, 8, 16 or 32-subject sheet. These sheets are still available through the aftermarket.
