Got this at face from a bank. Was all 1940's and 1950's common dates. One 1918. Still fun. The roll had an aluminum wrapper which is vintage. Was marked 1956 in pen which is when I think the coins were added.

This coin is fairly representative. Most seemed to be in the VF-EF type range. A few had some corrosion.

There are collectors for the wrapper so keep it. Are you going to check for errors and varieties?

Cool looking roll! The wrapper may be worth more than the coins inside to the people that collect them. I've never seen one of those - I have family in High Point, been there many times over the past 50+ years.

Are there collectors of packages ? I never thought that such people exist. Perhaps this is just a small part of people and it is not something basic. Can you take a picture of the packaging ? I want to take a closer look at her.

people collect everything. As a joke I once sold a sneaker full of cow manure marked " guaranteed, made in Vermont".
