$388. This is a nice early bust half. The pictures are great and show great surfaces, but the coin looks really white. Not something you expect from an old silver coin. It is also interesting that the last picture that is a darker grey is from the seller and does not show the surface being so white and has more reasonable toning. Seems like that one is a composite picture. I provided closeups of the obverse clash of the motto. Great clashing of the reverse motto transferred onto the obverse impression. Thoughts? Thanks!

Also thought that the eye detail in the protected area was fantastic along with the LIBERTY lettering in the band. Same goes for the reverse shield.

There does appear to be some luster remaining in the shield, periphery, along protected areas.

if it was cleaned up, it was decades ago and the coin would grade straight. I have it at AU50

At first glance the little protrusion coming off the downward slant below the curl sure looks like a 2/1...idk...maybe?

I was able to attribute this coin as Overton 103. The 1812/1 overdates are Overton 101 and 102. By looking at the TI alignment in the reverse, I was able to rule out the 1812/1 overdate varieties.

I would be at XF-45. I am not convinced that it would straight grade. I have seen many worse than this straight grade and others detail that are better.
