I found this in an old wallet. It looks almost new, it's very shiny! The back is gorgeous! How does the damage (2 obvious scratches and heavy damage across face) affect grading? It's such a pretty coin! Thanks for your patience with my iphone pics ;)

I'd say AU-58, damage doesn't much matter.

I find that so interesting. And confusing. So, number one is always the quality of the 'devices' etc. (I'm new to terminology) But I'll get there eventually. Thanks so much!!

Hard to tell what's going on given the images posted--coin surfaces appear lifeless/flat. Any chance for improved pics taken under different lighting?

I don't know if this helps, I moved it from the daylight. :)

Looks mint state to me but this is a coin with almost no value until you get to MS-66. IMO, this is a spender in that condition.

Haha I'm def on the hunt! I love it! And I'm going blind! But it's a really fun hobby for sure. I like everything I have found and I am keeping all of them, because I don't know what I'm doing yet. ;) But I find myself being a bit obsessive looking for oddities and errors. I'm sure this will fade in time... and exhaustion LOL

@NEW, you have on Observe machine roll marks. I think it is more those old bank roll machine. and also some circulation hits.

Reverse trace of the roll machine and more under the Mausoleum Finger print. Do not forgot, finger print mean circulate on any mean because is after strike.

Ah, I don't see the roll marks.. probably will have finger prints though lol. It's circulated of course, I was checking on grade bc it's super lustrous to the eye.
