1982 D Penny Zinc Showing - Coin Community Forum

dougy New Member United States 8 Posts	Posted 04/14/2022 1:05 pm Hi, I have a 1982 D penny that looks as though patches of the zinc have come through, as well as strange corrosion or bubbling around the coin's text and mintmarks, mainly on the obverse side. I've heard the 1982 year had some strange errors due to changes in copper/zinc content, and was wondering if anyone had ideas as to what it is or what caused it? thanks! Pics attached.
