I know this is really old & but it actually is a mint error. I also have a dime, really dull on the obverse side and VERY shiny on the reverse side. It is known as a clad error. Which is what I just found out and seen this post in the process. You probably already know this considering it was so long ago,you are probably at expert level by now and own your own coin shop lol. But I have seen a ton of wrong advice and opinions on this forum. So if anyone see's this reply,...don't be scared to get second opinion's when you are first starting out just like any thing you do in life.
