Hey! My Dad has me helping him go through some coins. He is curious about this 2022 p Quarter bc of the Copper around half of the rim and some indentions (?) If someone could explain this, please!!! He's been googling for days.
Bobby Facebook replies are funny. I answer also to Philly.
This happened because the glad on those coins are the begin of the glad foil. Simply then that. Is know by the Mint but it is in the parameters. When the new glad foil is apply the cut approx. 2 feet. No more explanations on this.
Copper visible on the rim is normal for quarters (and dimes) as blanks are made from a sheet of copper-nickel layered on copper. The indentations are probably damage from circulation.

Is this a serious post?
Like stated above the coins from 10 cents to 50 cents are all clad between a middle of copper.
When the blanks are cut, the color on the Cud area is deeper because of the cut. Check other coins and you will see the same thing. The direction of the cut alters the color on the edge of the coin. (The cladding is not real thick. The cutting makes it look thicker than it really is: Very thin.
