You all have been very helpful with identifying the coin for me. Thank you all so much! Does anyone have an idea on rarity or value?

Since it's not an error, it has no value, except, perhaps to folks who actively collect counterfeits.

Interesting, I have seen soft die error reproductions on Canadian coins but I think this is my first time seeing it on an American coin. Are soft die fakes becoming more common? I haven't been a collector nearly as long as many of you so maybe iv just been out of the loop lol.

As always thanks for the info Mike.

Thanks to Mike Diamond for identifying the source for this dramatic obverse.

Counterfeit second strikes delivered by soft dies are seen with some regularity on ebay and go back decades. I've seen them on quite a few Statehood Quarters.
