Quote: does anyone have a picture of Special Edition Proof Silver Dollar? @zmlbill: It's against CCF policy to post images of the Mint's upcoming releases before they are made available to the general public. Images shouldn't be posted here until next Tuesday (May 3rd). Often, however, images of the Mint's upcoming coins appear on ebay ahead of their general release.

Not exactly correct. You could not post direct links to the RCM or any image from their website. You could post images from 3rd party sources like ebay or other dealers. For the April releases someone posted an image of the silver incuse on first day of MC release.

I am lowly Silver status. So I get the leftovers, which probably won't include Silver Dollar. What time (not date) do they open up the sales to the various club members? I think I picked the wrong time to check my orders (it's 7:24 PM EST). RCM website appears inaccessible, probably due to club members ordering their coins. I'll have to settle for the 1 kg gold coin, I guess.

Quote: Hoping for lots of sales this time? The Mint's gold and silver Platinum Jubilee coins have proven popular so far this year...maybe the Mint is expecting a bump in sales for the same-themed SD.

I saw a photo of the Platinum Jubiliee silver dollar at a local Post Office.
It will nicely compliment the two coin RM/RCM set put out earlier that I purchased, so yes I will order that one too. Her Majesty's lips aren't as puckered on this one.
I also liked the Majestic Polar Bear $5 coin with 'tamper proof packaging'.
Coin has been rotated 180 degrees in holder is in sideways and wondering whether that constitutes an error. Maybe I can sell it for $100 and make a profit. LOL.

It appears as if you are joking, but the question does get asked seriously from time to time... What you've described would be considered a packaging error, not a minting error. Such "errors" do not command a numismatic premium because they can often be created by third parties with mischievous - and misleading - intent.

Quote: It's against CCF policy to post images of the Mint's upcoming releases before they are made available to the general public. This policy still makes no sense to me. The "general" public needs to know as much as the top RCM buyers. Access to information shouldn't be modulated by the size of your wallet. This is bad 360 degrees all around.
