The majority of the 2015 Homestead error occur on the P mint. Here is a 2015-D with an unusual error on the reverse that I am trying to confirm what type of mint error occurred. It appears the wood grain from the logs continues through the top two window panes of the cabin window.

Looks a bit like the result of a die clash or die dent. Have you looked at an overlay yet?

. Looks indented, so I am thinking PMD.

Overlay = superimposing an image of one side onto the other to see if there might be a clash in the area in question.

The windows are recessed into the coin, not the error in question. The error is raised.

I wish I knew how to superimpose an image over another. A skill I dont have right now.

It's a very coincidental contact marks. This would be the most incuse part of the die so for it to be effected without effecting the areas in between is not possible IMK. The window panes are not effected but this higher points on the coin in that area are, which to me screams PMD. I also don't think it's raised but I don't have to coin in hand.

I think this latest pic confirms that it is PMD. I angled the coin under the scope to get a different perspective. It appears the area in question is incuse to the coin, just not as deep as the window.
