I have a few examples but I'm just posting one for now. Wondering if someone just tried to rub off a potentially beautiful patina or is this just induced? Thanks in advance for your opinions and expertise!

Toning. (Silver tarnishes with time) Thus silver silverware became as it needed polishing often. A job that was not a favorite thing to do. Silver value pretty much removed it from the homes in the past.

I would call it tarnish, not attractive to my eye.

Some tarnish, yes. Dirt? Yes. The red is not real and hard to say or pronounce.
