It was completely burgandy until I started to mess with it and take the what I thought was rust, paint , or wax , hence the scratches, and acetone burns, years ago I Wasn't thinking about the luster the red brought to it. It was made this way, I need input on varieties such as these. I herd back in the day, Arcades used to paint their coins red and give em out and keep track of their coins when the kids used them. But who knows.. the thing is really on there even with acetone multiple times.. ooh it just hurts every time I think of it.. smh dang it, any info, hold the insults.

This looks more like a case of extreme environmental damage of some kind, possibly buried.

Since you cleaned it,and you should never clean a coin,it looks like an environmentally damaged coin maybe a once buried coin. Not an error.

To CCF , Do we really have to hold the insults ?
Too bad there's not before and after photos of this coin . Next time you have a coin that you want to conserve , ask us first for advice . Stick with us you will learn a lot about coins and currency .
