Looks like there are a lot of DDO's that year. http://doubleddie.com/1808804.htmlCheck out the link below and note the affected areas, and determine which ones it could be. Then take a look at the markers for those dies to see if any match your coins die markers. With the coin in hand you will be able to see things easier that way. Then post your results to see if you've found the right match. (Sometimes there are no exact match. Sometimes a coin was struck before the marker happened to the die. I do note on your coin the Motto devices looks smaller than normal. So the hub doubling may be just on the Liberty area.) Let us know.

@Coop&John1Sorry for the late response had to work. I studied 2016 no mint and there are alot of them! Lol! My coin has alot of markers from alot of those DDO's and some I couldn't tell cleary but what stood out to me most were the T's and Y's in Liberty and the one that I found to be the closest is the is the DDO-017. I may be wrong but that what I took from it. Lol! Thanks!

Need a bit more light on the bottom of LIBERTY,the Y is the PUP=pick up point. As of now I see no DDO. FYI: you need to find the doubled die first then match die markers. John1

@John1 I always reference Wexler's and Coopercoins. But like I said it was so many 2016 Shields and my coin had many of the marks from different listings but not all the markers. And I know that all markers won't be there and with some, it depends on the various dies. I read where DD's weren't called because lack of markers and were graded and found that they were graded as such. Sometimes there are no markers or because the die or the condition of the coin it's hard to tell sometimes. I don't just randomly call out DD just to say that I found one. I really try hard to reference first sometimes looking for markers on a coin for a long period of time. Thanks!

On the image of the EPU, the distortion on the bottoms of this devices (Bottoms is the correct term, because these devices are incuse) are showing some slight Machine Doubling. On these incuse devices, even the slightest movement will make them look like a doubled die, but the movement is from the strike. The opposite happens on a DDR with incuse devices: trong Machine doubling on the incuse devices ( Vertical movement): How are the incuse devices just opposite the Machine Doubling? Take a look below: Note on this one, the Machine Doubling was horizontal movement, unlike the previous image with the vertical MD.

@Coop Thanks! I always liked the way you explain things and show them to educate and talk to the community and not at them! That's what a true teacher does because there are always some who will struggle more than others, especially in coin hunting or collecting there is a lot to learn, and I'm just talking about Lincoln Pennies not to mention the gazillion other types of coins out there! Lol! Thanks again!!

A lot of these images were posted on the forum, I recognize how they can be helpful, but them together with other images, and everyone benefits. Seeing is believing and teaching on what they are looking at. That is is my goal. Future teachers will realize this and jump in when I'm not here. Thanks for your comments. At least I'm hitting my target. Sometimes I get the same question over and over, so I try to answer it differently each time. Maybe something wasn't clear to someone? So I try to help others see what I see on their coins. If they get it, I hit the bulls eye.
