Just damage on the E, normal Close AM reverse.

All 1998D cents are CAM
It is the 1998 WAM that you need to look for.

Damage to a coin alters usually one area/one device and the distortion of the shape of the device not being normal is that it took a hit. Just like a black eye is most often caused. But the result is the same. You took a hit. Same for the coin. It didn't happen at the strike of the coin. PSD
