Well the tracking # does not work and still no charge to my bank account so unless the mint is giving away free money something is not right with this order?

I got my two boxes yesterday. They look pretty decent on the outside coins of the rolls I have.

Well I see that the money finally came out of my bank account.
That is weird when you place your order the funds are put on hold on your account for days then when it says shipped they are put back into your account for three days then finally come out of your account?
Anyway I guess these are finally on the way now if the postal tracking number actually worked so I had some idea when these will arrive it would be nice to make sure I am here.

I'm in NC and got a box. I opened one roll and they are D mint. Can I assume they are all D or is that wrong?

I ordered 1 box eack of the 2009 Indian, 2008 Jackson, 2007 Washington & Jefferson dollars. In the Indian, Washington & Jefferson boxes, all 10 rolls were "D" mint rolls. The Jackson however was split, 7 "D" rolls & 3 "P" rolls. I kept about 4-6 coins from each box and maybe 1-2 would grade 66 the rest 65 in my opinion. Jim

Really? There's split rolls between boxes?
uh oh... I think I might have shipped a few that were Ps
hmm... but the Jacksons are low-mintages. Perhaps they get filled with Ds first and then Ps? The shipping center is in TN. What mint serves that area?

I was surprised too!, I have ordered other 2008 box's so will see how they are packed. My shipment was from Indiana, I believe the mint has a new company doing the fullfillment for them, and is no longer in TN,

Might I ask why you opened all the rolls? I like to collect a roll and keep it unopened. These boxes, since you can't tell the mint, are only good to open and search for singles or to spend if they aren't all from a single mint.

Well if I ever get my box I will as careful as I can take one coin from the 1st and last roll to see what mint they are and if the 1st and last roll are the same I will assume they are all the same mint if not I may as carefully as I can look at the 1st coin in all rolls to tell what mint they are then close them as good as I can.
Hate to do that but then at least you know what mint they are from.
I have opened quite a few president dollar rolls and put them in the plastic dollar coin tubes.

Thats the reason opening all the rolls is that I am looking for a few very nice coins, and the rest I will spend or just return to the bank. In my opinion, these rolls, just like the quarter rolls will not command a great premium, since so many coins are being minted. I do think a few higher end singles will be worth a few dolars over time. The dollars also look so bad after a few years that I cant see an original roll kept in its paper wrapper, or even in a plastic tube being worth much. I handled each coin from the 4 boxes (1000 coins) with cotton gloves and the fingers turned black, just from holding the sides in one spot to see look over the coin. If you are keeping any of the SAC/President dollars and not giving them an acetone bath they will look horrible very soon. Just my opinion....
