Your looking in the wrong areas for doubled die. The spread will be seen on the middle of the devices. That is where to look for a doubled die. Machine Doubling and die wear affect the outside/inside edges of devices. Look at the centers of the devices:
This one is a spread towards the rim, thus the devices are taller:

Note on this ones there is a slight rotational hubing, enlarging the width of the devices on these images.
Look not at the edge is the wrong way to search. Look at the centers of the devices. Look for the spread. What is spread?

Thus the areas you are looking at, they are either examples of removed contour on the devices ( Machine Doubling), or swelling towards the rim of die wear.
