Got 3 x 2009 $2 coins today at the shop.  Haven't looked too closely at them yet, but my son said one was pretty dinged up.  life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

Good grief, already? That's REALLY quick. And I am still having difficulties finding a decent 2008 50 cents - they look like they have been through some massive coin lot and awfully scratched, dinged etc.
And I just finished making the album set for 1966-2008 (except for the 50 cents). Doh! Will make another topic for it.

Got another 2 x 2009 $2 on Monday, similar condition as the first 3.
Only 1 'keeper' out of the 5, but I'll hang on to them till better ones turn up.

I'm surprised that no one else has found any yet. Got another 2 x 2009 $2 yesterday, a bit better condition than the others. Now 2 'keepers' out of the 7.  life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved

My brother here in Brisbane found one, and gave it to me today.
Sounds like a shipment would up here fairly early.

My latest count of 2009 $2 is 13. All up 4 would be 'keepers'.
As a side line I notice there are quite a lot of brand spanking new 2008 $2 showing up.

My wife got a very nice 2009 $2 in change yesterday, a definite keeper. Maybe this means the 2008 issue will be a low mintage?

In the last few weeks there has been a flood of 2008 $2 coins. Seeing at least 5 a day in the till at the shop. All brand spanking new!
They look a lot better than the 2009's of which I now have over 20.

Hi all,
I received 3 x 2009 $2 coins last week from shops in Sydney CBD. Two were pretty scratched already (!), the other was "acceptable" so I've put it aside for safe keeping...

Hi,
I got a 2009 $2 coin here on the Gold Coast about a month ago and is in really good condition, so it went straight into the keep pile along with a 2008 $1 coin I got at the same time.
