Weighed it and it came in overweight for a copper Lincoln at 3.35g. Anyway, eventually spotted on the edge a spot where some dealer or collector did a scratch test, and it's very much copper color in the scratch so I'm in the plated camp with this one. Sorry but won't be posting image of the scratched edge as not really going to put more time into a damaged coin and it's already in a slip and filed away with my damaged stuff. Things move fast here. I can not see the sides or the scratches, I believe you say it is plated. If so the weight is in the parameters .for an over coated coins with bronze. sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21786 Posts	Posted 05/17/2022 04:31 am If your scales is very accurate, then this coin is 0.11gm = 3.5% overweight.. To be sure, check the calibration. The 0.11 gram could account for the weight of the plating, but that would be thick and the struck detail should be a little indistinct. I am left wondering if the coin was struck before it was plated. That would make this coin quite interesting. I agree with Dearborn's request. Report this Post to the Staff
