Looks like circulation flattening on your coin. Damage doesn't make a coin more valuable. Same for a variety coin, the value goes down quickly on a damaged variety coin. (Circulation damage, over cleaning, Split plating, carbon spots, fingerprints and anything that makes a coin a problem one) This can drop the price because of the coin now being a cull coin variety and loose as much as 95% of the value. Damage to a normal coin will always be worth face, it someone will accept it. Take them to the bank and then they will send them in to be cancelled when they get enough to send in.
