I like to do my research first but I'm striking out with determining a value. Working on a large trade for ancients and this is in the lot, I like it but I'm still new to ancients.

Does this look genuine? Red flags? Value?

erafjel and spence are best on French medievals, and I am sure one of them will give an answer.
But yes, looks genuine.

@can that is a fun piece and I think the label is correct. This is worth protecting in a 2x2 though as these are pretty thin and the silver can be a little brittle.

I would attribute this to the French County of La Marche. The diagnostic for me is that weird reverse comprising opposing annulets and moon crescents with a small cross in the center. The legends should read something like +VGO COMES and + MARCHIE. Of special note is the sideways S letterform. The attribution is Duplessy 960.

I agree with Spence: La Marche, Hugh IX or X, Duplessy 960. Looks genuine. In terms of value, these have sold for between 5 and 40 € at CGB (cgbfr.com), this one is probably somewhere in the middle of that range.
