Afternoon yall. I have a 1997 Lincoln Penny that has the reverse Image in different directions about at least 3 times 1 is only half of the image. Is this simply a misaligned die clash? I would think it would have the obverse image if so. Rotated? Still learning. Help appreciated. Thank you!
Jason

Obverse: Fingerprint.
Reverse: Die polishing to cover a die clash or Feeder Finger Damage issue. While it looks like a rotation issue on the reverse, we don't see that on the obverse. The obverse die also appears polished, but they polish off the die scratches on the obverse, but not on the reverse. So there I no premium for this, but you might save it for a show and tell item to show to a new collector. These can see save in a half dollar tube and mark as interesting, that way other denominations will also fit into the container. (And you will be his teacher)
