Hi all.
I would appreciate any comments you have as to grade and/or possible value. Based on previous comments on other coins I assume that this has a lamination flaw/error? Seems to have copped up the base on the N. This is the mintage info I found.
Mintage
Penny 1944 : 2,450,000
Penny 1944 - Y. : 27,830,000
Many thanks for your continuous help and comments.
It is sincerely appreciated.

A planchet flaw with a little delamination going on.
From what I have gathered here, the flaw needs to be major to arouse interest. Still a nice coin though.
I wouldn't attempt to grade it, I'm still wet behind the ears.

Regarding other OZ pre-decimal varieties / errors, I found this reference here at CCF.

The pictures are hand drawn which I found odd at first, but once I got used to how it works, I found it to be very comprehensive.

Also if you see the previous reply from me, there is some excellent work in making a grading chart for OZ pre decimals, put toghether by Tim Bowden some 9 years ago on this site. Link below
