Hey guys! Just obtained 10 bags x 100 Nickel dollars. Threw a few under the scope, wondering obviously other then the obvious struck through errors (wire, grease etc) what other things should I search.

What is the thresh-hold for doubling?

That's mechanical/machine doubling (MD) so not repunched. There is normally a small premium over a normal one and keep it as an oddity. I would suggest that you go to the CaC site and look at the dates that have some worthwhile varieties. Their prices are out of whack (high) but it wiull give you an idea of the scarcer ones, as well as good photos for them.

If your coins start in 1965 and go through to 1985 there are all kinds of thing to look for, as said look at this list.

The main thing to look for is high grades. I built this set from mostly buying and searching bulk nickel dollar lots over the past decade.

I do remain optimistic, that this series will eventually catch on. The last of the big dollar coins, and last of the voyageur series.

Hi Canada Pennies19
Hopefully they will be a group like mine.....where the collector figuratively threw up their hands and did a "Saturday night massacre" of their hoard and not the 'leftovers of someone who cherrypicked the best ones out. (a la SPP )

Good Luck
