Sap Moderator Australia 16830 Posts	Posted 06/02/2022 11:19 pm Damage like this could have several causes. Environmental damage from burial is most likely; or maybe it was in a fire. Finally, some kind of hostile chemical environment - perhaps someone cleaned it long ago with lemon juice or vinegar, and didn't wash it properly afterwards.
