I have some old civil war money:

Some earlier one, two, and 20 dollar bills. Also, a small Three Cent bill.

My-Paper-Money-Collection---Question

I have a question about the 20 dollar bills. My grandfather had a note attached talking about how the bill was "before the Truman balcony was added" and to note the "large US seal under twenty." He said he was going to contact a money buddy about it, but no idea if he did.

Here's the back of them:
My-Paper-Money-Collection---Question

No idea if anything of value. Don't know much about them. I like that one of them is taped up, I do that sometimes.

The Truman balcony (facing the South Lawn) appears in most images as a horizontal line about half way up the portico (or whatever the proper term is for this columned projection). It was added in 1948.

to the Community!

It is best to picture and post questions about one note per thread. Otherwise things can get confusing real quick.

Three of the large size notes are CSA. The other three are Obsoletes. The group of older small size notes are well worn or have problems and not worth much more than face except for maybe the Hawaiian Ace.
