This coin shows doubling, but I'm not sure if the reason is circulation damage, die wear, or true die doubling?
1912-Liberty-Head-Nickel---Worn-Die-Or-DDR?

Thank you for any input!

That looks like circulation damage to me, not doubling.

It's a DDD ( Die Deterioration Doubling) for me. Experts might disagree, but I've had a coin with doubling like this and I posted it on this website and everyone that commented convinced me that it was indeed a DDD.

I think it is coin wrapper machine damage. The machine puts a circular scratch through the end coins, slicing any of the devices in its way.

I don't think it is DDD, this is too dramatic and square.
Suffering from bust half fever.

Interesting, could that machine make a mark like this? These marks under date are raised, but on the obverse side instead.
