Die Chip Error On 2022 Wilma Mankiller Quarter

fplagge Pillar of the Community United States 660 Posts	Posted 06/11/2022 10:08 am I found this die chip error while CRHing the 2022 Wilma Mankiller quarter. I have searched the internet but cannot find any mention of ANY errors on this coin. Has anyone else seen this error yet? Do I make a report to someone about my find and, if so, who do I send it to? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 06/12/2022 3:00 pm We've already noticed that this is cause by during a die clash with an overlay you can see how this could happen. So they are die events, not a mint error. Common to find after a die clash happens. When the dies slam together, then the contact of the dies, can damage each other leaving clash marks, and now we are linking this to the die clash events that cause this.
