I have a similar question about the 2019-W and 2020-W Washington quarters.

All of these circulating coins have a mintage of 2 million each. It has been decades since the last time a circulating quarter of less than 2 million has been minted. (I believe not since 1932 has there been lower mintage circulating quarters) Also, to my knowledge, there are no other quarters (proof, silver proof, etc.) bearing the W mint mark.

In the long run, will these coins appreciate much in value? Thoughts?

It is a possibility, taking into consideration that in order to find one, it had to be snagged out of circulation. I wonder how many have been accounted for so far...

The problem with them having much value appreciation is that MOST of that 2 million is hoarded away in Uncirculated condition, and there aren't 2 million Washington quarter collectors. If you were to take that 2 million and spread it evenly amongst all the Washington quarter collectors, very single one of them could probably have between 6 and 10 pieces. They are common, and since there is no great attrition, they always will be.

Now if you can get the number of collectors in the country to increase maybe 20 fold, then you might have a chance of some increase. Frankly in my opinion they are overpriced now.
